SIC (US 1987) :
Park Place is a family owned and operated facility whose goal is to meet the needs of those adults who need temporary, transient (following acute injury or illness) or permanent living arrangements.
Here are some historical facts about our facility. The Nursing Facility was formerly named Monroe Nursing Home and originally opened in 1962. The original nursing Home was opened and operated by Kenneth and Jean Murray.
Upon opening the new 107-bed facility in 1993, the name was changed to Park Place Nursing Facility. During this time Ken Murray, Jr. began operating the facility as the Administrator.
In December of 2010, a new wing was built and expanded the services offering a 165-bed Skilled Nursing and Rehab facility.
Our sister facility, Great Oaks, is operated by the Murray family, also, and the Executive Director is Melinda Murray Dally.
Great Oaks provides assisted living for senior adults who do not require skilled nursing care. While residing at Great Oaks, in the event of an acute illness or injury, continuous care may easily be established through the service and care provided at Park Place. Upon recovery and restoration to a prior level of function, the resident may choose to return to Great Oaks and resume assisted living.
