ABetter Heating & Air was founded January 27, 1993 by Diane Mullen and Michael J. Paino. Mike Paino, their son, joined them soon after. Diane wanted to have a service company that was better than the other companies, and would treat its customers with respect. That is where the name came from. Sadly, Diane passed away Feb 2006. Michael J. coined the company slogan, Built on Expert Service and Honesty. This is proudly displayed on each of our service vehicles. Michael J. is currently using his law experience and life's experience teaching other contractors how to better their businesses and meet the state requirements for continuing education. Mike Paino currently runs the company with his crew of very talented office and field personnel. Mike is a 1988 graduate of Georgia Tech, holds a State of Georgia Conditioned Air license, NATE certifications in Heat Pumps, Air Conditioning, Gas Heat, and Air Distribution. Mike currently serves as President of the Metro Atlanta Air Conditioning Contractors Association ( MAACA ) and is a member of the advisory board for LaurusTechnical School in Jonesboro. ABetter Heating & Air is a member of Conditioned Air Association of Georgia CAAG and Air Conditioning Contractors of America ACCA. We were recognized in 2002 as ACCA Residential Excellence Award Finalist. We have helped with the Toys for Tots campaign for the past 10 years, have helped build the Fayette Field of Hope and have donated to other children's charities.
